UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Connection with December 3rd Shooting - 12/11/17

On Monday, December 11, 2017, at 6:52 p.m., officers and detectives assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team arrested a 16-year-old male in the parking lot of the Clackamas Square Shopping Center, located at 11318 Southeast 82nd Avenue. The juvenile male was arrested in connection with a December 3rd shooting in the 11600 block of Northeast Knott Street.

Members of the Gang Enforcement Team with the assistance of the Oregon State Police and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office performed a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the 16-year-old male. Officers observed the 16-year-old male in the 13400 block of Southeast Holgate Boulevard. The suspect entered a vehicle which officers followed and stopped at the Clackamas Square Shopping Center.

Based on information learned during the investigation of this shooting, Gang Enforcement Team detectives believe the 16-year-old male was involved in the shooting in which an occupied home was struck by gunfire. There have been no reported injuries as a result of the shooting.

Detectives believe a stolen black Honda Pilot, located in the 13400 block of Southeast Holgate Boulevard, was used during the December 3rd shooting. The vehicle has been seized as evidence.

On Sunday December 3, 2017, at 10:45 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 11600 block of Northeast Knott Street.

Officers arrived and located several vehicles and an occupied home struck by gunfire. No gunshot victims were located at the scene or have arrived at any area hospitals.

Officers were not able to locate any suspects associated with this shooting.

Based on information learned at the scene, the Gang Enforcement Team is responding to conduct an investigation into the shooting.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Police Non-Emergency Line at 503-823-3333.
