UPDATE: Two Arrested in Connection with Shooting Investigation in Portland's Hazelwood Neighborhood (Photo) - 11/23/17

Officers continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in the 10500 block of Northeast Davis Street on Wednesday evening.

During the investigation, officers located evidence of gunfire on Northeast Davis Street near Northeast 105th Avenue. A Toyota Corolla and a Chevrolet truck were located with several bullet strikes. Neither of the vehicles were occupied at the time of the shooting and it is not believed either vehicle was the target off the shooting.

Investigators believe both individuals fired firearms during this disturbance.

After the 36-year-old man that was injured by gunfire received medical treatment at an area hospital he was released and placed in police custody.

Based on information learned during the investigation, investigators with the Domestic Violence Reduction Unit arrested 53-year-old Altrenia Wilson and 36-year-old Seville Caldwell.

Wilson was lodged in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Assault in the First Degree - Domestic Violence, four counts of Reckless Endangering - Domestic Violence, Unlawful Use of a Weapon - Domestic Violence, and Discharge Firearm in the City. Caldwell was also lodged in the Multnomah County Jail and he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Reckless Endangering - Domestic Violence, and two counts - Discharge Firearm in the City.

The Domestic Violence Reduction continues to investigate this case. Anyone with information about this incident should contact 503-823-0090.

The original press release originally stated the injured person, Seville D. Caldwell, was 26-years-old and not 36-years-old.

On Wednesday November 22, 2017, at 8:27 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 10500 block of Northeast Davis Street.

As officers responded to the location a caller to 9-1-1 reported the shooting occurred in the yard of a residence on the north side of Northeast Davis Street. An additional call was placed to 9-1-1 by another person who reportedly was involved in the incident but was uninjured.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted a 53-year-old woman who stated that she was involved in a disturbance with her 36-year-old. As officers continued to investigate the incident, they learned there was gunfire during the disturbance and that the woman's son had left the location immediately after the shooting.

During the on scene investigation, officers were alerted by emergency dispatchers that the woman's son had arrived at an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Based on information learned by officers that responded to the hospital, the son was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Members of the Domestic Violence Reduction Unit and criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division are responding to assist with the investigation.

Currently, the woman involved in the disturbance has been detained as part of the investigation.

At this time, investigators do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public in relation to this shooting.

An update will be provided as the investigation continues.
