Portland, Ore.— The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is pleased to invite members of the Portland media to a community kickoff and information session on the new Sustainability and Climate Commission (SCC).
WHO: The event will feature three speakers as they introduce the commission’s purpose and vision:
- Portland Commissioner Carmen Rubio
- BPS Director Donnie Oliveira
- BPS Chief Sustainability Officer Vivian Satterfield
WHAT: An event celebrating the upcoming creation of the new Sustainability and Climate Commission (SCC).
WHERE: CORE: Collective Oregon Eateries, situated at 3612 Southeast 82nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97266.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The speaking program will take approximately 30 minutes.
BACKGROUND: The SCC will be a new governance structure for climate action in Portland. It also will serve as the official climate connection to other governance bodies at the City of Portland.
