Sheriff's Office Increasing DUII Patrols Over the Holidays (Photo) - 12/17/20

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has increased the number of deputies on patrol this holiday season in an effort to crack down on intoxicated drivers.

This effort is part of the Oregon’s DUII/High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) grants program, funded by the Oregon Department of Transportation. This enforcement is designed to increase the number of law enforcement officers on patrol for this two week period to actively seek out impaired drivers.

This HVE event will run from December 16-January 2, 2021.
