SUTHERLIN, Ore. - A crash Tuesday morning claimed the life of a Roseburg man.
At 7:28 am, 9-1-1 dispatchers received calls of a single vehicle crash in the 17300-block of Nonpareil Road. Emergency crews arrived to find a 1999 Volvo Sanitation Truck owned by Sutherlin Sanitary Service which had been traveling east bound that left the roadway and crashed into a tree coming to rest on its side.
The driver, 51 year-old Dennis Lee Roderick of Roseburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 541-440-4471.
Next of kin has been notified.
