Incident: Man arrested with large quantity of methamphetamine
Arrested: Aaron Edward Jossart, 46-year-old Salem resident
Charges: Driving while suspended – Misdemeanor, Possession of methamphetamine – Felony, Unlawful delivery of methamphetamine – Felony, and Parole violation
On August 10th, 2024, at approximately 7:00 PM, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Aaron Edward Jossart, age 46, of Salem.
On August 10th, 2024, Deschutes County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black 2001 Suzuki motorcycle in the area of Cloverdale Rd./Farthing Ln. The driver of the motorcycle was Aaron Edward Jossart. Jossart is a misdemeanor suspended driver in Oregon. Jossart is also currently on parole for delivery of methamphetamine.
The investigation continued and Deputies located a large quantity of methamphetamine in his possession, along with a scale, and packaging material. This overall investigation revealed that Jossart is currently living in the Salem, OR area and he is transporting and distributing methamphetamine to Central Oregon.
Aaron Edward Jossart was transported and lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail.
CODE Detectives were assisted by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office during this investigation.

The Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force supported by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program and the following Central Oregon law enforcement agencies: Bend Police Department, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Redmond Police Department, Prineville Police Department, Crook County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Madras Police Department, Oregon State Police, Sunriver Police Department, Black Butte Police Department, United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Warm Springs Tribal Police Department, Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson County District Attorney’s, and the Oregon National Guard.
The Oregon-Idaho HIDTA program is an Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) sponsored counterdrug grant program that coordinates and provides funding resources to multi-agency drug enforcement task forces to disrupt or dismantle local, multi-state and international drug trafficking organizations.
