Redmond, OR – Redmond Man Arrested For Commercial Methamphetamine Distribution After Neighborhood Complaints
Roy Allen Borden, Jr., age 51, of Redmond, Oregon, was arrested by CODE Detectives after an investigation into the importation and distribution of controlled substances from a home on the 100 block of SW 35th St in the City of Redmond.
Redmond Police Officers and CODE Detectives initiated an investigation after area residents began reporting suspicious activities at the home. As a result, CODE Detectives began surveillance of the home and Mr. Borden. The investigation determined large quantities of controlled substances were being sold from the home.
On August 19, 2021, Mr. Boyden was contacted during a traffic stop in Redmond, and detectives seized commercial quantities of methamphetamine, a large amount of US currency, and a switchblade knife.
Mr. Boyden was lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Jail and charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Parole Violation.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
