Escaped Inmate's Body Located in Yamhill River (Photo) - 11/27/19

On November 25th, at about 3:30 p.m. the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a fisherman of a body in the Yamhill River on the east side of Willamina.  YCSO Deputies and detectives responded to the location to find a deceased adult male in the water.  Due to the terrain, the West Valley Fire Department’s High Angle Rescue Team recovered the body.

The male matched the description of escaped FCI inmate Jesus Adrian Rodriguez, age 43.  Rodriguez had walked away from the Sheridan Minimum Security Camp on Ballston Road the day prior.   The inmate, who was positively identified through fingerprints, was confirmed to be Rodriguez.  There was no visible trauma to his body and at this time no foul play is suspected.

An autopsy has been scheduled and no further information is available at this time.  Anyone with who may have seen Rodriguez out of custody on November 24th or 25th is encouraged to contact the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit at 503-434-7506.
