Yakima School District Updates for the Week of January 31 - 01/28/22

Over the last two weeks of the Omicron surge, the Yakima School District has joined many districts, organizations, and businesses with staff shortages.  For that reason we had 25 schools learning remotely two weeks ago, eight schools learning remotely this week, and now we are announcing that four schools will learn remotely next week.  The remaining 21 schools at YSD plus YV-TECH will operate normally and in-person Jan 31-Feb 4.

 The week of January 31 - February 4, the following schools will learn REMOTELY:

  • Eisenhower High School*
  • Davis High School*
  • Adams Elementary School
  • Gilbert Elementary School

*Activities and athletics will operate normally at IKE and Davis next week. Spectators are welcome at home contests.


The remaining 21 schools in the Yakima School District will operate normally and in-person Jan 31- Feb 4.


Meals will be available for pick up for all students learning remotely on Wednesday, February 2 at  IKE, Davis, and Adams from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.  In addition, there will be evening meal pack pick-up available at Davis and Adams from 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm.

COVID Testing for staff, students, and their immediate family members (this is not a public testing site) will be open Monday - Friday from 1-5 pm at 104 N 4th Ave today and Jan 31 Feb 4.
