Woodland Public Schools Will Continue To Offer Educational Opportunities, Food Service And More During The Statewide Closure Of Schools (Photo) - 03/15/20
Sunday, March 15, 2020-Woodland, WA-Woodland Public Schools’ administration team met Saturday, March 14 to develop solutions for Woodland’s families during the statewide closure of schools due to COVID-19.
On Monday, March 16, every staff member in the district will return to work to collaborate and ensure our community’s students will still have access to educational opportunities, food services, and as many of the other services schools regularly provide as are possible within the constraints of COVID-19 prevention.

All school offices will be open on Monday to permit parents and students to return to school to retrieve medications, supplies, musical instruments, and anything that may have been left behind prior to the closure that families might need between now and when schools reopen.
School office hours are as follows:
- Elementary Schools (North Fork, Columbia, and Yale): 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Woodland Middle School: 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Woodland High School: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If families cannot make it to the schools during regular hours, please contact your school’s office during those hours on Monday and staff will arrange for a different time for you to pick up what you need:

Food Services begin Monday with delivery starting Wednesday
Starting Monday, March 16, Woodland Public Schools will serve meals for free to all children between the ages of 1-18 years old. Students can grab their meals and go or stay on campus to eat. Social distancing guidelines will be closely followed.
Families should note that we cannot provide more meals than there are children present, however, adults may purchase additional meals for themselves or others.
Following are the locations and times food service will be provided:
Columbia and North Fork Elementary Schools
- Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Yale Elementary School
- Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.ml. to 12:30 pm.
Woodland Middle School and Woodland High School:
- Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Food service delivery using the district’s school buses will begin Wednesday, March 18. More information will be available on the website (https://www.woodlandschools.org/o/district/page/covid-19-updates) after the staff coordinates the process on Monday.
Dedicated COVID-19 Website
Woodland Public Schools has established a dedicated website for the statewide closure which will be regularly updated at least once each day, even if there is no new information at the time. A timestamp at the top of the homepage will let visitors know when the last update was posted.
In addition to resources where community members can learn more about the fight against COVID-19, the website will offer:
- Educational resources for students to continue their learning during their closure
- Information on how families can access the district’s food service and childcare solutions
- Links and contact information for organizations offering assistance in response to COVID-19
- Regular updates on what Woodland Public Schools is doing for students, parents, and families during the closure

Woodland Public Schools will continue to serve families during the closure
While Woodland Public Schools’ buildings will be physically closed during the closure, the entire district staff will continue to work to provide students access to education, food service, and as many services schools regularly provide as are possible within the constraints of COVID-19 prevention.
All staff is meeting on Monday, March 16 to collaborate to develop additional solutions to educate our students. The entire Woodland Public Schools staff is dedicated to continue providing our students with continued learning opportunities throughout the closure.
