Update tp Death Investigation - 06/24/20

Update June 24, 2020:

The Washougal Police Department released the name of the woman found deceased in her home on June 14, 2020 at Sandra Ladd, 71, of Washougal.

Emergency responders from the Washougal Fire Department and Washougal Police Department were dispatched shortly after 4:30 pm to the 1900 block of 41st Street in Washougal where they found Ladd dead in her home.

The medical examiner determined Ladd died of stab wounds to the torso. The manner of death is listed as homicide. No arrests have been made and investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time.

The Washougal Police Department and the Clark County Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating and do not plan to release further details.

At about 4:30 pm on June 14th Washougal Police responded to the 1900 block of 41st Street regarding a deceased 71-year-old female.

The death is currently being investigated as suspicious. Camas Police and the Clark County Major Crimes team are assisting with the investigation.
