News Release
Public Asked to Postpone Business with the County, If Possible - 12/07/16

Weather predictions are prompting Washington County departments and offices to draw down the number of staff available to support some county services Thursday. Although County buildings are expected to remain open and many services will continue without interruption, county officials would like the public to postpone visiting county buildings until after the weather has improved.

"Our buildings and key services will be up and running, but tomorrow will not be business as usual," said Assistant County Administrator Don Bohn. "Although some services will be fully staffed -- such as snow and ice removal or law enforcement -- we'll have reduced staffing in other areas of the organization."

The public is asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about potential changes to hours of operation. Updates about clearing snow and ice from the County road system can be found at http://www.wc-roads.com.
