Prospect Point Elementary Recognized As U.S. News Best Elementary School (Photo) - 11/14/24

WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Public Schools is proud to share Prospect Point Elementary has been named among the top 40% of elementary schools in Washington state, and the highest in the Walla Walla Valley, in the 2025 U.S. News Best Elementary Schools list. This prestigious recognition highlights the school’s commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education.

In the latest state assessments, 56% of Prospect Point students scored at or above the proficient level in math, while 52% achieved proficiency in reading. The school’s diverse community includes 35% minority student enrollment, and 52% of students are economically disadvantaged, showcasing the school’s dedication to providing quality education for all learners.

According to U.S. News & World Report, state assessment data is pivotal in ranking schools, emphasizing both achievement levels and performance within the context of socioeconomic factors. The top-performing schools on this list are recognized for effectively educating their entire student body and fostering high academic achievement.
