Phillip Michael Donald Hubbard Sentenced In Domestic Violence Case (Photo) - 05/18/26

HILLSBORO, Ore- On April 29, 2026, Washington County Circuit Court Judge Janelle Wipper sentenced Phillip Michael Donald Hubbard, age 46, to nine years in prison following his conviction in a domestic violence assault case. Deputy District Attorney Mackenna Krohn prosecuted the defendant.

On September 7, 2025, at a Beaverton Hotel, a neighbor heard a woman screaming for help and called the police. Responding officers spoke with the woman and saw deep scratches to her cheeks. She told officers that she had scratched herself after getting upset with the defendant, with whom she was in a relationship. However, a few days later, the victim called the police and reported she had been coerced to lie and that the defendant had caused her injuries after dragging her back inside the room and covering her mouth with his hand. She also reported that this was not the first time he had physically assaulted her.

This is the fourth felony domestic violence case in the defendant’s criminal history, and the victim is the third intimate partner he has violently assaulted.

The Washington County District Attorney’s Office commends the victim for reporting this abuse. This office also acknowledges the work of the Beaverton police on this case.

Help is available for anyone living in a dangerous or unsafe situation. The Family Peace Center of Washington County is a valuable resource for those in need of support.

The defendant will be transferred to the Oregon Department of Corrections to serve his sentence.
