School district invites community to Visit VPS (Photo) - 10/10/18

Vancouver Public Schools will host a tour for the public on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. Everyone is welcome.

The Visit VPS tour will treat guests to exclusive opportunities to engage with staff and students, explore classrooms and programs and experience learning at three schools:

Jason Lee Middle School

  •  3D design class
  •  Video production class
  •  Honors English classroom
  •  English Language Learner classroom

Hazel Dell Elementary

  • Experience lab for hands-on learning
  • Student garden and greenhouse
  • Imagine Learning lab

GATE program for special education students ages 18 to 21

  • Vocational education
  • Life skills

The tour will begin and end at the Bates Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Rd. The tour starts at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. After the tour, guests have the option of enjoying a student musical performance and delicious lunch prepared by culinary arts students. Lunch is available for $5 per person.
Everyone is welcome, but space is limited. Advance registration is required. Sign up online to reserve a spot.
