Vancouver Police Investigating Attempted Murder - 03/31/26

Vancouver, Wash. – On March 28, 2026, at around 11:45 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to the 7800 block of NE 12th Street for the report of a disturbance involving a knife. When officers arrived, they located a 29-year-old male with life-threatening stab wound injuries. A female at the scene was not physically injured.

 

The suspect in the stabbing, Jason Johnson, 35 years old, exited the residence and was taken into custody by police without incident. He had non-life-threatening injuries that he sustained during his attack of the victim that required hospitalization. On March 31st he was discharged from the hospital and booked into the Clark County Jail for Attempted Murder, and Assault IV-Domestic Violence and Displaying a Weapon.

 

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation and nothing additional is being released at this time.
