Vancouver Police Investigate Homicide (Update) - 08/30/24

*** Update ***

The Vancouver Police Department is continuing the homicide investigation that occurred on August 28th in the 3500 block of NE 66th Avenue. When police arrived, they located a female who was inside a tent deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. This crime appeared to be the result of a drive-by shooting. 

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation and at this time investigators do not believe the shooting was random and there is no current threat to the public. 

The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of the victim. 

Investigators from the Vancouver Police Department are continuing to follow up on leads and tips and anyone with information related to this crime is asked to call Vancouver Police. 

Nothing further is releasable at this time.

The Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred at approximately 0400 hours in the 3500 Block of NE 66th Ave.  There is no further information at this time.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
