Vancouver Police investigate stabbing (update: suspect deceased) - 07/15/24

The suspect in this incident did not survive his injuries. 

The Clark County Medical Examiner will release this identity, cause and manner of death. 

Nothing further is releasable at this time.

Vancouver, Wash. – On July 7, 2024, at around 7: 45 p.m., Vancouver Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1000 block of SE 160th Avenue. Callers reported that a male had stabbed a female and had also stabbed himself. Officers rendered medical aid to the female, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers also rendered medical aid to the male, who was later transported to an area hospital for additional treatment. His condition is unknown at this time. 

The male and female were known to one another and there are no outstanding suspects. 

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating this as a homicide. Nothing further is releasable at this time.
