Vancouver Police Seeks Assistance In Locating Missing Mother And Two Children (Update: Located Safe) - 12/15/23

On the evening of December 14, 2023, VPD detectives learned that Amanda Folston was at a hotel in Las Vegas. Las Vegas Metro Police patrol units responded immediately, located Folston and took her into custody for the custodial interference warrant. They also recovered Liam (5) and Jessie (7) Tonkin - both unharmed. The children will be reunified with their father.

The investigation did not yield any information to suggest Ms. Folston, or the children, were the victims of any crimes, aside from the violation of the court order regarding custody of the children.

Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is seeking the public's assistance in locating three missing subjects, including mother, Amanda Folston, and her two children, Liam and Jessie Tonkin. All three subjects were last seen on October 7, 2023, in the area of East Vancouver, Washington. 

Amanda Folston is a 30-year-old black female, who is described as being approximately 5'2 in height and weighing approx. 120lbs. 

Liam Tonkin is a 5-year-old mixed race male and described as being approximately 3'8 in height and weighing about 41lbs. He has brown eyes and light brown hair. 

Jessie Tonkin is a 7-year-old mixed race female who is described as being approximately 4'0 in height and weighing about 48lbs. She has brown eyes and brown hair.
