Vancouver Police investigate shooting (Update 2:Vehicle identified) (Photo) - 06/04/21

*** Update 2 ***

The vehicle that was seen in the video was identified and the owner was contacted. No further tips related to this vehicle are needed.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.


*** Update 1 ***

The investigation is continuing and Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit have interviewed multiple witnesses, so far none have been cooperative with the investigation. No arrests have been made.

Detectives did locate video of a vehicle leaving the scene. The vehicle appears to be a newer model Dodge Charger, grey in color.

Vancouver, Wash. –On May 31, 2021, at approximately 5:25 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the 200 block of E 27th Street for the report of gunshots in the area. When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived, they located an adult male in front of a residence, deceased.

The Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating. At this time, it is unknown what precipitated the shooting.
