Vancouver Police investigate fatal hit and run (Update: Suspect Arrested) (Photo) - 09/06/19

**UPDATE**

The suspect in this case has been identified as Dennis Bogle, 58, of Vancouver, WA.  Dennis was arrested this evening at his home near SE Nancy Rd and SE 10th St in Vancouver.  Dennis's Dodge truck was also located at his home and taken for evidence purposes.  No further assistance is requested from the public at this time.

The suspect vehicle has been identified as a dark green 2001 Dodge Ram with a flat bed

OR plate 705JSE. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this vehicle should call 911.

Vancouver, Wash. –On September 5, 2019, at approximately 8:51 p.m. Vancouver Police patrol responded to a parking lot in the 500 block of SE Chkalov Dr. They located a female who had been struck by a vehicle.  The victim was found on the ground, conscious and alert with unknown injuries.  She was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later died.

The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is conducting the investigation and information gathered indicates the suspect vehicle is a dark colored full size truck with silver wheels and a black canopy. The canopy may have some white writing on the passenger side. The vehicle should have damage to the front grill or bumper.

Anyone with information on the location of this vehicle or information about this incident is asked to contact 911.
