Vancouver Police investigate convenience store robberies (Photo) - 08/12/19

Vancouver, Wash. –On August 4, 2019, Vancouver Police responded to the Chevron located at 14135 SE Mill Plain Blvd. for the report of a robbery. Two males entered the convenience store, one went behind the counter and began taking items and attempted to leave without paying. The clerk confronted the suspect and was elbowed in the face by the suspect. During this altercation, a firearm fell from the sweatshirt of the suspect, who picked up the firearm and fled the store with his accomplice.

  • Suspect 1 is described as a black male, 16-17 years of age, 5’ 11”, thin athletic build, brown hair.
  • Suspect 2 is described as mixed race or Hispanic male, 16-17 years of age, 5’ 1”, thin build, and longer brown hair.

On August 12, 2019, Vancouver Police responded to the 7-Eleven located at 11703 SE Mill Plain Blvd for the report of a strong armed robbery.  Two teenage males entered the store; one goes behind the counter and loads items into his backpack. When the clerk confronts him, he pushes the clerk to the ground and steps on her as he flees the store.

Based on suspect descriptions, it is believed both incidents involve the same suspects.

Surveillance images of the suspects in the August 12 robbery were captured (attached).
