News Release
Vancouver Police Investigate Fatality Collision - 01/09/19

Vancouver, Wash. – On January 9, 2019, at approximately 7:49 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the 700 block of NE 136th Avenue. Preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a northbound vehicle crossed the center line, hitting a southbound vehicle head-on, causing that vehicle to hit a third vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle, an adult male, did not survive his injuries. The driver of the southbound vehicle, an adult female, was transported for evaluation of injuries. The occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.

The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating and none of the names of the involved parties are being released at this time. The causing factors of the collision have not been determined.
