Vancouver Police investigating collision involving vehicle and pedestrian (Update: ID's) - 09/13/18

*** Update***

The driver in this incident has been identified as Frank A. Genevase, 53, of Vancouver. 

The pedestrian has been identified as Dane C. Thompson, 52, of Vancouver. Mr. Thompson did not survive his injuries.

The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation.

Vancouver, Wash. –On September 12, 2018 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the area of S Andresen Rd./MacArthur Blvd. The adult, male pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained on scene and there are no indications of impairment of the part of the driver.

The Vancouver Police Traffic Unit is investigating. One lane of northbound Andresen is closed from MacArthur to Missouri  while investigators are on scene.
