Valley Catholic Earns Sixth OSAA Cup

Beaverton, Ore., - Valley Catholic has earned its sixth Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) Cup for overall excellence in academics, activities, athletics, and sportsmanship at the 4A OSAA classification. This is the sixth win in eight years for Valley Catholic.

At a morning assembly on September 6, OSAA representative Kelly Foster presented the award at Valley Catholic’s Valiants’ Gym with the entire Valley Catholic school campus present. Valley Catholic is Oregon’s only Catholic school serving children and young adults from infancy through high school.

Valley Catholic high school Principal Doug Ierardi praised the campus community for the honor, “This is the sixth OSAA Cup we have won in the last eight years. This award reflects the efforts of student-athletes, musicians, singers, coaches, and an entire school community.”

Valley Catholic’s president, John Matcovich, also commended the community effort to earn the award, “We are very proud to be a recipient of the OSAA Cup again this year. Its focus on excellence in academics, activities, athletics, and sportsmanship recognizes that every student at Valley Catholic plays a part in creating a vibrant campus community. It echoes our motto: Excellence in Everything, Opportunity for Everyone,” said Matcovich.
