Virginia Garcia Celebrates National Health Center Week With Community Events And Activities For The Family (Photo) -08/07/23
Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center will be celebrating National Health Center Week with community events and activities all week long.
There are activities and resources for the whole family:
Tuesday, August 8: The Hillsboro Clinic (226 SE 8th Ave., Hillsboro) will host a community health fair from 11am - 2pm.
Wednesday, August 9: The Beaverton Wellness Center (2725 SW Cedar Hills Blvd., Suite 200, Beaverton) will be hosting a community health fair from 1pm - 4pm.
Friday, August 11: The Cornelius Wellness Center (1151 N. Adair St., Cornelius) will be hosting a community health fair from 11am - 3pm.
Saturday, August 12: The 7th Avenue Clinic, (232 SE 7th Ave., Hillsboro) will be hosting a Reproductive Health Fair, providing free reproductive services to the community from 10am - 2pm.
In addition to these community activities, the Virginia Garcia Newberg Clinic will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony in celebration of beginning work on the Newberg Wellness Center, on Thursday, August 10 at 10am in Newberg. The wellness center will be able to provide primary care, dental and pharmacy services to more than 6,000 community members, effectively doubling the current capacity. It will also have a wellness center, open to the public and offering community-based classes such as Zumba and cooking classes.
“The Newberg Clinic currently serves over 2,400 patients each year. This expansion project will ensure the clinic can continue to offer high quality, comprehensive health care for our community," said Congresswoman Andrea Salinas. "I am so proud to celebrate this achievement and I look forward to seeing this project through to completion.”
