Rescue made at Vancouver house fire. (Photo) - 10/10/20

The Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 5108 NE 66th Ave in Vancouver on 10/10/2020 at 19:01.  Initial truck and engine arrived seven minutes later at 19:08.  After driving down a long, narrow, private driveway crews found a small, one story single family residence which was on fire.  Neighbors reported a person inside.  Crews quickly went into rescue mode and began a search of the structure.  AMR was requested code 3. A patient was found inside the house and moved outside for medical treatment.  Patient was pronounced dead on the scene.  The fire was completely under control by 19:28.  The Vancouver Fire Department had 34 personnel on scene.  One fire fighter suffered a minor burn injury.  The fire is currently under investigation by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s office.  19A4 is the lead fire marshal.
