VA Portland Health Care System To Offer Flu Vaccinations To Enrolled Veterans -10/15/24

PORTLAND, Ore.–The VA Portland Health Care System will be offering flu and COVID vaccinations to Veterans enrolled in the VA Portland healthcare system.

Annual vaccinations are an important step to battle influenza and COVID, especially during the winter season.

The vaccinations are offered through the Portland Drive-Thru Clinic on Saturday, October 19, and Saturday, October 26, from 8:00 a.m.to noon, at the Portland VA Medical Center Parking Garage on level P2. The address for the VA Portland campus is 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland OR 97239.

Vaccinations will also be offered at the Vancouver Drop-In Clinic on Sunday, October 20, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the VA Vancouver Campus, in the Columbia Room, located on the third floor of building 11. The address for the VA Vancouver Campus is 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver WA 98661.

Veterans who are not able to make either of the free flu vaccine clinics can also receive a flu shot for NO COST in the community at many different pharmacy locations across the country. They are encouraged to visit  http://www.va.gov/find-locations/ to search for conveniently located facilities near them. They may do this by entering their city, state or postal code, and picking “Community Pharmacies (in VA network). Note: some, but not all Urgent Care facilities may also provide flu shots. Veterans choosing this option will be required to present their photo ID and state to the caregiver they are a Veteran registered with the VA.
