Unitus Community Credit Union Announces Corporate Partnership With Hillsboro Hops - 03/09/22

Sponsorship connects Unitus with baseball fans and the community through engagement and events throughout the season

Portland, Ore., March 8, 2022 – In one month, the Hillsboro Hops will throw the first pitch at the team’s home opener at Ron Tonkin Field with Unitus Community Credit Union serving as its newest corporate partner. The sponsorship allows Unitus to connect with baseball fans and the community of Hillsboro through promotions, special game day events, and family-friendly activities at the stadium.

The Hillsboro Hops’ mission is to provide memorable, first-class experiences to enrich the lives of fans, staff, players, and community. The team’s mission aligns with Unitus’ values and focus on community engagement. As part of the partnership, Unitus is sponsoring six “Los Soñadores” nights where the culture and heritage of our local Latinx community is celebrated. The Hops transform to “Los Soñadores,” or “dreamers” throughout the season to honor the dreamers among us.

“This partnership is exciting because it allows us to connect with baseball fans and the community at large,” explained Steven Stapp, President and CEO of Unitus Community Credit Union. “As an inclusive financial institution, we are committed to the financial empowerment and growth of everyone in our community. We look forward to meeting some new people and introducing them to all Unitus has to offer.”

The Hops open the regular season at home on April 8 at 6:35 p.m. against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The first Soñadores night is on April 9. Game tickets are for sale at https://www.milb.com/hillsboro.
