Union Gospel Mission’s Operation Overcoat Goes Mobile Due to Pandemic 

Portland, Ore., - On Wednesday, October 6 from 4:30-6pm, UGM, in partnership with Portland Central Nazarene Church, is hosting one of the Operation Overcoat Goes Mobile give away events.

In order to reach more people in need in the Portland Metro area, UGM has been partnering with Central Nazarene on a transitional housing village, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners and now Operation Overcoat.

This year UGM has moved their Operation Overcoat efforts from one big downtown event to several small events. Operation Overcoat provides backpacks with shoes, coats, pants and other vital winter supplies for those experiencing homelessness and in need.   

To support Operation Overcoat financially donations can be made online at www.ugmportland.org or by calling 503-274-4483. They are also accepting donations of coats, blankets, and winter clothes, items can be dropped off at 3 NW Third Avenue Portland, OR 97209.
