The UCCS Economic Forum will be hosting their 29th annual event from noon – 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 2 at the Ent Center for the Arts.

For nearly three decades, this longstanding community event has been the leading source of economic data and insight in the Pikes Peak Region. This year’s forum will be headlined by the Director of the Colorado State Division of Housing, Alison George. Bill Craighead, Director of the UCCS Economic Forum, will present on the local, state and national economies.

“It’s an honor to lead an institution that has such strong community support,” Craighead said. “I’m especially excited about this year’s program, which kicks off with a keynote on one of Colorado’s most pressing issues: housing.”

There will be two concurrent panel discussions for attendees to choose from: “Building a Stronger Workforce: Challenges & Solutions for Colorado Springs” and “Water & Development: Balancing Growth with Limited Resources.” Each panel discussion will feature regional experts on each topic.

Doors will open at noon, with a welcome reception from noon until 1 p.m., when the program begins. Following the presentations, there will be an in-person happy hour networking event hosted in the Ent Center for the Arts foyer.
