UCC Art Gallery To Feature Work By Visual Arts Faculty (Photo)

ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College will present an exhibition featuring work by UCC visual arts faculty members Jon Hoffman, Greg Price and Brian Willett.
The exhibition will be on display Sept. 14 through Oct. 14 in the Whipple Fine Arts Center at UCC. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The exhibition highlights the creative work of faculty members who bring their experience as practicing artists directly into the classroom.
“All of the faculty in visual arts at Umpqua Community College are active and practicing artists,” said Hoffman. “It is important to show our students that we practice what we teach.”
A public reception and artist talk will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibition, meet the artists and hear more about their work and creative practices.
Admission to the exhibition and reception is free and open to the public.
About The Art Gallery
The UCC Art Gallery is located in the Whipple Fine Arts Building at Umpqua Community College, 1140 Umpqua College Road, Roseburg, OR 97470. The 1,100-square-foot exhibition space presents six exhibitions each year, showcasing a variety of media and work by emerging and established artists.
The primary focus of The Art Gallery is to exhibit high-quality artwork for the educational and cultural benefit of UCC students and residents of Douglas County.
