Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash -05/28/24
A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash Friday evening.
At 9:39 PM on Friday, May 24th, officers responded to SW Roy Rogers Road near SW Perth for a traffic crash. Based on the initial investigation and information from witnesses, a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Roy Rogers and tried to pass a Dodge Ram truck that was also traveling northbound, but the motorcyclist hit a center median and crashed. A witness who is a nurse tried to give the motorcyclist CPR almost immediately, but despite those lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Jacob Gould, age 27, from Aloha. His family has been notified of his death.
The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to the scene and Roy Rogers was closed to traffic during the on-scene investigation. Investigators believe motorcycle speed was a factor in the crash.
