Deadly Crash Under Investigation - 06/29/23

The Tigard Police Department is investigating a deadly single-car crash that happened today (6/29) where one person died.

Just after 2 a.m., 911 calls came in about a crash between a truck and a tree on SW Walnut St. just east of Tiedeman Ave. Several officers and firefighters from TVF&R quickly responded to the scene. Despite life-saving attempts, the driver and sole occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were injured.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to the scene and is assisting with the investigation. The name of the person involved is not being released at this time while family notifications are being made.
