Detectives Ask for Tips in Stabbing  - 07/15/21

Tigard Police Detectives are asking for your help identifying suspects involved in a stabbing.

On Friday, July 2nd around 5:30 p.m. two suspects challenged a 17-year-old to a fight at the Washington Square Mall. The 17-year-old agreed, and in the course of the fight he was stabbed by one of the suspects. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening and has since been released.

Investigators believe this was a targeted attack and there is no specific threat to the general public.

The suspects in this case are described as two Hispanic men, in their late teens or early 20’s who were both wearing red hats and black shoes. One of the suspects is described as 5’7” or 5’8”, who was wearing jeans and a black shirt, while the other, who was wearing black pants and a black hoodie, is described as having bushy eyebrows.

If you recognize either of them or have any information about this case that can help, please contact Det. Kary Gregson (503-718-2529 or Kary.Gregson@tigard-or.gov) or Det. Gabe Stone (503-718-2665 or Gabe.Stone@tigard-or.gov). You can remain anonymous.
