News Release
Two Juveniles Arrested For Murder - 02/18/21

The Tigard Police Department has made two arrests in connection with the murder of Leroy Xavier Wass-Morill.

As previously released, Mr. Wass-Morill called 911 on January 29th to report he’d been stabbed at his apartment complex. He was unable to identify his attacker and died a short time later.

Today, Tigard Police Detectives arrested a 17-year-old girl and her 16-year-old relative in the case. The motive appears to be a targeted drug-related robbery. During the course of the robbery, a physical altercation ensued, and the victim was stabbed by one of the suspects.

Because the girls are juveniles, we cannot release their names or booking photos. They are both being lodged at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on charges of murder and robbery.

The family of Mr. Wass-Morill is requesting privacy at this time and asks that members of the media not contact them.
