Last week, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted a nineteen-year-old Tigard man for his role in a motor vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist. The crash occurred on June 4, 2019 along Pacific Highway in Tigard. Jones was driving southbound when he struck the bicyclist. The investigation into the crash was conducted by the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) led by a Tigard Police traffic safety officer.
On September 3, Joshua Anthony Jones was taken into custody by the Washington County Criminal Apprehension Team without incident and lodged in the Washington County Jail. Jones was charged with Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangering and Reckless Driving.
