Christmas Festival of Lights Opens Friday (Photo) - 11/25/19

The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights opens this Friday, Nov. 29, from 5-9:30 p.m. and runs nightly (except Christmas Day) through Dec. 30.

Presenting the sights, sounds and sensations of the season, The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world. The festival features more than 160 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church and civic choirs. Five indoor concerts are scheduled each evening in The Grotto’s 500-seat chapel, known for its cathedral-quality acoustics.

Continuous family entertainment in The Grotto’s plaza area includes outdoor caroling, puppet shows and a live petting zoo.

And don’t forget the lights!!! Approximately 2.2 million lights adorn the trees and pathways for a truly magical experience.

Holiday foods and beverages are also available, as is seasonal shopping in The Grotto Gift Shop.

The Festival of Lights is a walk-through event and visitors can expect to walk approximately one quarter mile. All entertainment areas are either indoors or fully tented but visitors should dress for the weather.

Parking is free on site. There is also an overflow parking lot at the Parkrose/Sumner MAX station and Park & Ride.

Tickets may be purchased at the gate. Ticket prices:

General: $12.50

Senior (65+): $11.50

Military (with ID): $11.50

Youth (3-12): $6.50

Ages 2 and under: Free
