Crews Battle Shop Fire in Aloha, Save Nearby Exposures (Photo) - 01/22/18

Just after 0100 this morning crews from TVF&R were dispatched to a reported fire in a detached shop next to a residence in the 1700 Block of SW Rock Ct., in the unincorporated community of Aloha. Crews from Aloha fire station 62 arrived within minutes of dispatch, and reported a fully involved shop fire, with flames threatening a nearby residence. For the next several minutes multiple units from TVF&R and Hillsboro Fire worked to contain the fire in the shop, and prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby residence.

Firefighters worked for over 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. The damage was contained to a single story metal shop used as a garage on the property. The adjacent home was not damaged. There were no injuries reported.

A TVF&R fire investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. No damage estimates are available at this time. TVF&R was assisted on scene by crews from Hillsboro Fire and Rescue.
