Social Goods Wins “The Biggest Cheese” People’s Choice Award at The Melt Down 2025!
Newberg, OR – The results are in, and the people have spoken! Social Goods has been crowned the People’s Choice Award Winner at The Melt Down 2025 with their mouthwatering “Cheesus Crust” sandwich. While Social Goods takes home the trophy, the true winners are the people of Yamhill County and the Yamhill Community Action Partnership (YCAP), the beneficiaries of this delicious annual fundraising event.
The Melt Down, held every February, is a highly anticipated grilled cheese competition and fundraiser benefiting YCAP. Local restaurants and businesses participate by creating specialty grilled cheese sandwiches or cheese-inspired dishes, competing for the title of “The Biggest Cheese.” This fun-filled event not only warms up winter with ooey-gooey cheesy goodness but also supports critical services for those in need throughout Yamhill County.
“We’re thrilled to be named the People’s Choice Award Winner this year,” said Danny Sikkens of Social Goods. “The support from our community has been incredible, and we are honored to contribute to such a meaningful cause. Thank you to everyone who voted for our ‘Cheesus Crust’ sandwich!”
The Melt Down also features multiple giveaways and social media challenges, giving participants a chance to win prizes while supporting their favorite local businesses. The event continues to grow each year, bringing people together through the love of food and community support.
Visit Social Goods at 500 East 1st Street, Newberg, OR 91732, to celebrate their win and enjoy their award-winning “Cheesus Crust” sandwich.
