Silver Key Senior Services Launches Bountiful Pantry Food Drive At Participating Grocery Stores Help Feed Local Seniors This Holiday Season -11/01/24

Colorado Springs, CO – Silver Key Senior Services is excited to announce the launch of its Bountiful Pantry Food Drive, benefiting local seniors in need. From November through December, participating grocery stores will collect non-perishable food items to support Silver Key’s Pantry. Donations will ensure that older adults have access to nutritious meals during the holiday season and beyond.
Participating stores include:
- King Soopers, 9225 N Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80920
- Safeway, 1425 S Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916
Silver Key Info Table Dates at King Soopers:
- Wednesday, Nov 6th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Nov 13th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Nov 20th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Nov 27th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Dec 4th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Dec 11th – Noon to 4 PM
- Wednesday, Dec 18th – Noon to 4 PM
In addition to drop-offs at these locations, Silver Key's year-round food pantry, located at 1625 S Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916, will also be accepting donations Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
“We are calling on the community to join us in supporting this vital cause,” said Jason DeaBueno, President and CEO of Silver Key Senior Services. “Many older adults in our community face food insecurity, especially during the colder months. This food drive is a simple but impactful way to ensure seniors aren’t going hungry this holiday season and throughout the year.”
Some of the most needed non-perishable items include:
- Peanut butter
- Macaroni & cheese
- Canned tuna & chicken
- Cereal
- Pancake mix
- Cooking spray
- Canned fruit & vegetables
- Pork & beans
- Pasta & sauce
- Boxed meals
- Rice
- Pet food
By donating these essential items, you can help make a significant difference in the lives of seniors who rely on Silver Key for food assistance. All donations will go directly to Silver Key’s Food Assistance Programs, which serve thousands of seniors annually.
