Dr. Johnson brings with her over three decades of impactful service in the Pikes Peak Region, Colorado, and a wealth of experience in emergency medicine, public health, and healthcare administration.
Dr. Johnson's illustrious career includes significant roles such as Emergency Medicine practitioner, Medical Director of Mission Medical Center, and Deputy Medical Director for the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Her dedication to pioneering programs that set national standards, particularly in addressing issues such as the opioid epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic, has earned her recognition and respect in the healthcare community.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Johnson provided invaluable guidance as Medical Director of the Health Department to the community on prevention, mitigation, and treatment measures, demonstrating her commitment to public health and safety. As a consultant for Silver Key, she played a crucial role in ensuring the organization's continued operation while prioritizing the safety of staff, volunteers, and members.
