Silver Key to Host Health Screenings for Seniors on November 14 

Colorado Springs, Colorado – November 13, 2023 -Silver Key Senior Services, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to serving the senior community in Colorado Springs, is pleased to announce its collaboration with Cigna Health Services to host a day of free health screenings for seniors on November 14. The event will take place at the Silver Key campus located at 1625 S. Murray Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

The "Wellness in Motion" bus, in partnership with Cigna Health Services, will be stationed at the Silver Key campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This initiative is open to the public, offering seniors an opportunity to prioritize their health and well-being through accessible and complimentary screenings. The health screenings will include essential biometric assessments and skin cancer screenings. 

In addition to the health screenings, Silver Key is providing various services on November 14 to enhance the overall well-being of seniors in the community. These services include: 

• Food Pantry: Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Silver Key provides food pantry services to ensure that all seniors have access to nutritious food options. To apply, call the Silver Line at 719-884-2300 for a referral to the Food Pantry. 

• Online Health Resources Course: From 10:30 a.m. to noon, a Digital Equity Hub will host an "Online Health Resources" course, providing valuable information and resources to empower seniors in managing their health online. Registration required, call the Silver Line at 719-884-2300. 

• Mobile Library Bus: The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) mobile library bus will be on-site to promote reading and engagement within the community, fostering intellectual well-being.
