Suspect Indicted For Sex Crime Charges - 08/28/22

Suspect Indicted for Sex Crime Charges 

August 28, 2022 

On August 24, 2022 Tyler R. Ebert, age 27, was indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury on Felony crimes involving a female adult.

  • Rape in the First Degree (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Sodomy in the First Degree (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Felony) – 2 counts 

Detectives have been working on this case number October of 2021 after the victim came forward. Following the indictment, a Washington County Circuit Court Judge issued a Secret Indictment Arrest Warrant. Mr. Ebert was arrested last night without incident by Sherwood officers and is currently being held at the Washington County Jail.

Don’t stay silent; We encourage the community to speak with a counselor, a family member, a trusted friend, and the police if you or someone you know is experiencing abuse. Call 911 for emergencies or non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 to speak with a Sherwood officer. 

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time.
