Names Released from Fatality Crash (Photo) - 02/21/22

*****UPDATE*****

The Washington County CART(Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team) is continuing to investigate the crash. There are several members of the team still collecting evidence and conducting interviews.

We understand there are many assumptions and speculation about what occurred, however, we ask for your patience while the investigators complete their work. We will release information as it becomes available to us.

We are confirming the identity of the two pedestrian females who lost their lives in the crash. They are Amelia Green (11) and Elliana Kramer (16). They both lived in Sherwood and attended Sherwood schools.

Auto vs Pedestrian Fatality Crash (Photo)

The driver involved in the crash stayed on scene and has been cooperating with the investigation. There were no injuries reported with driver.

The pedestrian fatalities involved two, female juveniles, ages 11 and 16. They were both Sherwood residents and attended Sherwood Schools.

This is an ongoing investigation, we will not be making any further comments at this time.


 MEDIA RELEASE 

At approximately 6:51PM Officers were dispatched to an injury traffic crash at SW Edy Road / SW Trailblazer Place. Officers arrived on scene in under two minutes and began life saving efforts. Multiple units from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, Metro West, and numerous Police Agencies assisted on scene. 

The traffic crash was an Auto vs Pedestrian, unfortunately resulting in the fatality of two juveniles. 

The crash is currently an ongoing investigation being led by the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART). The roadway will continue to be closed for several hours. 

Our hearts are heavy tonight. Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers. They are requesting privacy right now. 

No further information will be released at this time.
