Community Invited to 'Vote' for Best Dressed Nominees as Part of "Share's Glitz! Glam! Red Carpet! Gala" - 02/08/19

Vancouver, WA Share has nominated 11 community members for the prestigious Best Dressed award, part of Share’s “Glitz! Glam! Red Carpet! Gala” on Sat. April 27, presented by Riverview Community Bank and supported by A Dog’s Best Friend. Community members can ‘vote’ now through April 26 by making a donation at sharevancouver.org in honor of their favorite nominee or nominees.

“We were delighted to find 11 wonderful community leaders willing to walk the cat-walk in their Oscar-worthy outfit at our ‘Glitz! Glam! Red Carpet! Gala.’ Their bios are humorous, inspiring and well worth the read. We’d like to extend a special thanks to Kate Singh Photography Studio for capturing all our nominees in vintage Hollywood-inspired, black and white photos,” said Diane McWithey, executive director. “In addition to the Best Dressed fun at this year’s Gala, we will celebrate our 40th anniversary milestone with gratitude in our hearts, honoring those who have made a lasting impact on the vision of our organization.”

Share’s glamorous nominees include Brett Allred, owner of Beigeblond; Darcy Altizer, Executive Director for Southwest Washington Contractors Association; Cyndi Holloway, Governmental & Community Affairs Director for Waste Connections; Bob Knight, President of Clark College; Sherri McMillan, owner of Northwest Personal Training and WHY Racing Events; Henri Moreau, Investment Associate at Mt. Hood Investment Group; Amy O’Hara, co-owner, When the Shoe Fits; Linda Reid, Relationship Banking Officer with Columbia Bank; Tonya Rulli, Law Office of Tonya Rulli; Don Russo, Shareholder at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt; and Evan Strandberg, Business Development Manager at iQ Credit Union. Gala attendees can ‘vote’ at the event using a special ballot and by using bid numbers to donate. Tickets are $125 per person, $1,250 for a table of 10, $1,500 for a sponsor table and can be purchased on-line at sharevancouver.org or by calling 360-952-8223. The event will be held at the Hilton Hotel Vancouver, doors open at 5:00 p.m. Gala guests will enjoy dinner, table wine, silent auction and raffle, the presentation of Prestigious Achievement Awards, plus entertainment and after party with R&B performer Andy Stokes – all to celebrate Share’s 40th anniversary.

Share was founded in 1979 with the goal of caring for the homeless and hungry in the greater Vancouver area. Share operates three shelters for the homeless, a transitional housing program, Lincoln Place (a 30-unit Housing First model apartment complex), a street outreach program, including a Day Center, a Housing & Essential Needs (HEN) program, provides case management to clients and provides daily meals for the homeless and low-income members of our community. Share also operates a summer meals program for low-income children and a backpack program benefitting 1,680 children at 91 schools to provide food for weekends to children receiving free or reduced-fee lunches.
