New Gift Items and Giving Tree Hosts Needed for Share Holiday Cheer Program; Family Holiday Party Now Referral Only - 11/20/17

Vancouver, WA -- Share is seeking new gift items and giving tree hosts for our Holiday Cheer Program, which will benefit clients in shelter, as well as local low-income families. New this year, Share's family holiday party will be referral only.

"Our goal is to use our resources wisely to provide support for those Clark County families who are most in need," said Diane McWithey, executive director. "We are working with Family Community Resource Coordinators at local schools to identify families who will then be invited to attend our holiday party with fun holiday games and crafts the children, snacks and beverages for all guests, plus a photo booth and pictures with Santa."

Some of the new gift items needed include: clothing for men, women, teens and children (all sizes), housewares (dishes, pots and pans, towels, linens, etc.), sleeping bags, age appropriate gifts and toys for teens, children and infants, as well as board games for all ages. Gift cards from any grocery store, clothing store, music store, movie theater, etc. as well as gas cards are also welcome. Donations can be delivered to the Share Fromhold Service Center, 2306 NE Andresen, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Businesses, clubs, churches or offices can host a giving tree, which is a simple, creative and tangible way to help families in our community. Share provides hang-able gift tags and suggested items for different age groups. To establish a giving tree, contact Meaghann Ande at 360-952-8229 or devcoor@sharevancouver.org.
