Sandy Returns to Level 1 Evacuation Zone (Photo) - 09/12/20

Good news from Clackamas County Officials. The city limits of the City of Sandy have been moved into the Level 1 “BE READY” evacuation zone. This is some much-needed good news after the uncertainty of the past several days. Below is a screenshot of the map that was updated on 9/12/20 at 8:10 pm.

While this is good news for Sandy, there are still neighboring communities that are battling these fires. The weather conditions have been favorable, but conditions are still dynamic.

Air quality remains hazardous in Sandy. You are encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible. Fire danger also remains very high.

Our partners at Clackamas 911 - CCOM have been inundated with calls the past few days and ask that you refrain from using 911 unless it is a true emergency. Please continue to call the Clackamas County Non-Emergency Dispatch at 503-655-8211 to report any suspicious or criminal activity.

The county-wide curfew is still in effect until further notice; this curfew is nightly from 10pm-6am. The Sandy Police Department will continue to be providing neighborhood patrols 24 hours a day, enforcing the curfew, and looking for suspicious activity.
