The situation for Sandy and the surrounding areas remains stable. As we prepare to scale back our updates, we want to provide resources for citizens looking for information. We will continue to provide critical updates if the situation changes.

Evacuation levels and Clackamas County information can be found at clackamas.us/wildfires. Information specific to the Riverside Fire threatening Estacada and Colton can be found at https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/7174/. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Twitter (https://twitter.com/ClackCoSheriff) and Facebook pages post regular updates with additional links to quality information. Clackamas County has a phone line citizens can call for fire related information: (503)655-8224

The Mt. Hood National Forest Facebook and Twitter (https://twitter.com/MtHoodNF/) pages are providing useful information and sharing information from others.

The State of Oregon has launched a website for those looking to volunteer or make donations: https://oregonrecovers.communityos.org/

Finally, wildfire.oregon.gov has numerous links to resources ranging from maps, to shelters, to air quality and health.

The Sandy Police Department will remain on the street patrolling to keep the city safe. City offices remain closed until further notice. The Police Department business office will be closed until at least Wednesday, September 16th. SAM bus service to Gresham is on normal schedule. Be safe.
