Sandy Taco Bell Stabbing Suspect Pleads Guilty to Assault - 10/03/19

On 9/9/19 Caley Mason, 21, of Maryland plead guilty to assault in the second degree for her actions on 7/9/19 inside the Taco Bell in Sandy, Oregon. Mason was caught on cell phone video slashing the neck of another customer inside the restaurant. Mason fled in a vehicle but was found by police in Clackamas within fifteen minutes. The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital and survived his injuries.

Though she was originally charged with attempted murder, assault in the first degree, menacing, recklessly endangering another person, and unlawful use of a weapon, those charges were dismissed as part of her plea agreement. Mason was sentenced to 84 months in prison with an additional 36 months of post-prison supervision.
